DISCIPLINARY chiefs will not be taking any further action after a York City Knights player alleged he was bitten in Saturday’s Challenge Cup tie with Warrington Wolves at The Halliwell Jones Stadium.
Substitute Chris Clough showed referee Jamie Child the damage in the 64th minute and the incident was placed on report.
The Rugby Football League’s case sheet highlights that Mickey Higham was the Wolves player alleged to have been involved in the tackle at the time.
Disciplinary chiefs revealed that the DVD footage was inconclusive and that the referee was not able to say that the bleeding thumb resulted from a bite.
