CROSFIELDS coach Steve Pickersgill believes his side will be an improved force in National Conference Division Two this season.
Soap will be aiming to get the campaign off to a winning start against league newcomers Myton Warriors at Hood Lane on Saturday, kick off 2.30pm, Pickersgill, who is also a prop in Warrington Wolves’ Super League squad, said: “Pre-season has gone well and we are much improved compared with the same point last season.
“We have improved in each of the three friendlies we have had and are looking to improve again against Myton Warriors on Saturday.
“We have had a few ‘old boys’ making a welcome return and have several youngsters progressing through to the open age from the under 18s.
“With a decent-sized squad in place, I am confident that we will improve our standing on last season.”
