THE wintry weather has accounted for both Warrington Town and Warrington Rylands’ scheduled games this evening.
Yellows were due to visit North West Counties League side Cammell Laird to kick off their Cheshire Senior Cup campaign, while Rylands were slated for a Northern Premier League trip to Gainsborough Trinity – their second trip to Lincolnshire in four days following their memorable FA Trophy victory at Scunthorpe United on Saturday.
Shortly before 1pm, however, Gainsborough confirmed the match had been postponed after the pitch at their Northolme home was covered by a blanket of snow.

Unfortunately, this evening's scheduled @NorthernPremLge
game against Warrington Rylands has had to be postponed.
Overnight snow has failed to thaw, leaving a blanket of the white stuff on the playing surface.
We will advise a new date in due course. 🔵 ⚪️ pic.twitter.com/BvmxzSSA9j
Shortly afterwards came confirmation from Town that Cammell Laird's pitch had failed an early inspection, forcing the postponement of the county cup clash.
