MATTY Ashton's run of try-scoring form shows no sign of ending, and he has now catapulted himself into the Warrington Wolves record books.
Indeed, his exploits in the eliminator victory over St Helens have allowed him to join an exclusive club that features some of The Wire's most legendary figures.
The second of the winger's two tries in the golden-point victory was the winger's 30th of the season in all competitions, making him the first Warrington player in a decade to score as many tries in the same year.
The last to do so was Joel Monaghan, who touched down 38 tries during an incredible 2014 season.
Ashton now joins the Australian, who reached the 30-try milestone in three different seasons, is one of only nine players in the club's history to reach 30 tries in a single campaign.
The great Brian Bevan achieved the feat an incredible 14 times, with the others in the club being Bob Eccles, Izzy Davies, Steve Ray, Chris Hicks, Bobby Greenough and John Bevan.
Ashton is also set to reach the 100 appearance milestone for the club in Friday's semi-final against Hull KR, with his 99 appearances to date since joining from Swinton Lions in 2020 having yielded 78 tries.
