WARRINGTON Athletics Club’s Jack Wadsworth celebrated a victory.
He won the Mobberley ‘Round the Runway’ five-miles multi terrain race in 27mins 26secs.
Clubmate Louise Blizzard was third over 45s woman in Cheshire 10-miles road race in Chester, finishing 49th overall and eighth woman by clocking 68mins 26secs.
Under 11 Jessica Treagust made the trip to Chester for the Junior Run Through race held in conjunction with the Cheshire 10-miles road race and came home in 10th place overall in 5mins 22secs, registering her as the fifth girl over the line.
Warrington’s Evie-May Williams finished 16th in the under 15s girls section of the English Junior Fell Running Championships.
She completed her ‘brutal’ final race at Foel Fenlli in Denbighshire, North Wales, in 20th place in 53mins 43secs.
Her time over the 5.2km course around an ancient hill fort did not improve her overall score for her best four races from the six she ran.
Williams is one of the youngest in the age group which she will remain in next year.
Meanwhile, six Warrington AC athletes featured in the second of Sale Harriers’ Sale Sizzlers at Wythenshawe Park.
First of the Warrington contingent to finish was Steve Watmough in 92nd place with 18mins to place second in the over 60s age group.
Under 17 Sinead Gregory was first from her family to finish in 187th place in 20mins 42secs to place 37th woman and third under 20s woman.
Her twin sister Cara was next in 208th place in 21mins 2 secs, placing her 47th woman and fourth under 20s woman.
Next in was their dad Mark in 227th place in 21mins 57secs, sealing him 11th over 55.
Joanna Robbins interrupted the Gregorys by finishing in 232nd in 22mins as 57th woman and second over 5s0 woman.
Anne Gregory completed the club squad in 276th place in 23mins 52secs, placing her 81st woman and fifth over 50s woman.
