WITH the Super League season having taken a pause for the international break, it is a good time to have a look at where Warrington Wolves players sit in terms of the individual player stats.
Here’s a look at where things stand currently…
APPEARANCES
There is only one Wire player remaining to have appeared in every game this season – hooker Sam Powell.
The former Wigan man has played in all 15 of their Super League games and all four Challenge Cup ties, with all bar two of those appearances coming from the bench.
Matt Dufty (18) is just behind having missed just one game this year while both Danny Walker and Toby King (17) are next on the list.
TRIES
Dufty is Wire’s leading try-scorer this season, with his brace against Hull FC last time out taking him to 10 in Super League and 13 in all competitions.
He is among a clutch of players on either 10 or 11 tries in terms of the overall Super League standings, with Wigan’s Liam Marshall clear at the top on 16.
In all competitions, Matty Ashton is just behind Dufty in the club try-scoring charts with 12, with Josh Thewlis one further back on 11.
ASSISTS
Dufty is also Warrington’s leading assist-maker having laid on 11 Super League tries in 2024 – the seventh-most in the competition as a whole.
The next-best figures among Warrington players belong to half-backs George Williams and Josh Drinkwater, both of whom have set up four tries this year.
GOALS
Thewlis has kicked 43 goals in total this season, with 29 of those coming in Super League – a figure which puts him as the eighth highest in the competition.
Joining him inside the top 10 is Stefan Ratchford, who has kicked 24 goals in Super League this year and 27 in all competitions.
TACKLES
Hooker Danny Walker is Wire’s only representative in Super League’s top 20 tacklers having made 418 so far this year.
That puts him 18th in the rankings, with Leeds Rhinos skipper Cameron Smith leading the way on 595 while incoming signing for 2025 Luke Yates is fourth with 498.
On the club list, Walker is ahead of Ben Currie (382) with Matty Nicholson (363) not far behind.
METRES
There is a clear winner here, both in terms of the club charts and for Super League as a whole.
With 2,755 metres to his name in Super League matches, Dufty is miles clear at the top of the competition’s metre-making standings. The man in second place – Salford Red Devils centre Nene Macdonald – is more than 400 metres behind him (2,323).
Among his teammates, the next-best figure belongs to Toby King (1,425m) while Thewlis (1,408) and Paul Vaughan (1,398) are close behind the centre.
CLEAN BREAKS
Another figure in which Dufty leads the way among Wire players – he has broken the line 16 times in Super League games, second only to Marshall (18) competition-wide.
Two other Warrington players are in the top 10, with Thewlis (12) and Ashton (11) seventh and ninth respectively.
ERRORS
One figure Dufty will not be as pleased about being highly-ranked in is the error count – with 21 to his name in Super League, he has made the joint-most in the competition alongside London Broncos’ Lee Kershaw and Catalans Dragons’ Tom Johnstone.
Teammate Thewlis is just one behind having made 20.
OFFLOADS
King is Wire’s most prolific offloader having completed 24 in Super League matches, which puts him seventh in the competition.
Among his teammates, Vaughan has the next highest figure with 14 while Williams (12) and Dufty (9) are close behind.
PENALTIES CONCEDED
Overall, Warrington are the least-penalised team in Super League this year having been pulled up just 65 times.
Individually, their most penalised player is Adam Holroyd, with the young back-rower having conceded nine penalties in league matches.
Danny Walker has the next highest figure among his Wire teammates with six, with Vaughan and Powell having both given away five penalties.
