HE has been enjoying a well-earned break but tonight, Luke Littler is back in competitive action.
Warrington’s teenage sensation is back in Europe after a fortnight in America and gets his latest World Series of Darts tournament underway this evening.
The 17-year-old Premier League champion faces Adam Gawlas in the first round of the Polish Darts Masters – a tournament for which Littler is the top seed.
The two have televised history, with Gawlas having ended Littler’s run at the 2023 UK Open at the fourth-round stage before he became prominent on a wider stage.
“The Nuke” is in the same draw bracket as his old rival Luke Humphries, whom he could face in the semi-finals while fellow Premier League player Peter Wright could await in the quarters should he get past Gawlas.
Littler’s is the sixth of eight best-of-11 ties to be played tonight in Gliwice, with the action getting underway at 6pm UK time.
The quarter-finals, semi-finals and the final will follow tomorrow evening, again from 6pm UK time, with the entire tournament broadcast live on ITV4 for UK viewers.
