RALLY drivers were penalised in their latest event due to their car failing its noise test.
Warrington driver Stephen Johansen and his co-driver Harriet Worth were confident and looking for a strong result in the latest round of the Circuit Stages Rally Championship at the Norfolk circuit of Snetterton.
But as the Indigo Technology Servicez Ltd Subaru Impreza lined up for the first stage, it failed its noise test which was devastating for the team.
Back in the paddock it was all hands to the pump, but it took them two whole stages to sort it out.
With the noise issues sorted, Johansen and Worth certainly needed to show some speed, and that’s excatly what they did!
The No36 Impreza was on it as they put in some great times over the last four stages.
At the end of the rally, the times recorded were really good, but the 30-minute penalty for missing stages one and two put them seventh in class and 49th overall.
A disappointing rally in some respects but really promising in others.
The team is unsure if they will attend the next round at Anglesey but will be at Donington on March 17.
