JUST under 7,000 spectators were inside The Halliwell Jones Stadium to witness Joe Philbin's Testimonial match on Saturday night.
And the vast majority of them could be forgiven for feeling a little more apprehensive about Warrington Wolves' readiness for the new Super League season after watching their side lose to Leigh Leopards.
On social media post-match, there was the usual smorgasbord of opinions ranging from those writing off the significance of a friendly to others who believe a long season could be in store for The Wire.
Here is some of what was being said by supporters after the game...
Can't read too much into that result. I was expecting more first teamers to have a run out to get game time. The real work starts a fortnight in Perpignan.

Not ideal.

I don't want to churn because of it being a friendly, I personally appreciate everytime 1 them guys get on that pitch & put a shift in. But I left tonight feeling robbed of my money. We were hyped up that "putting the strongest first team out there". We seen the 1st team 1 half..

Makes for interesting if a little concerning reading. A disjointed 40 minute run as the only hit out before the season kicks off seems very risky.

Agree with him on the youngsters in the 2nd half.
For me I’m not reading too much into this game, a friendly whether it’s a testimonial or not is about blowing a few cobwebs away and to be honest it’s the first run out since September for many, the proof will be in the pudding come the first game of the season not tonight

Funnily enough we were actually better with the academty lads out and the senior players on the bench in the second half which really tells you everything about where we are as a team going into Catalans first game of the season... not looking promising.

My 8 month old came her to first game tonight.

In a related matter my 8 month old came to her last game tonight...
Always our year
🤦
I can’t help but feel we’re terribly underprepared for round one after that performance. Connor Wrench was the only positive for me, I thought Zane Musgrove looked very ordinary. https://t.co/lruzXlGUVX

It’s gonna be a long season ahead. https://t.co/fteaVZdfed
