A MARSHALLING error led to some youngsters running much further than they should have during a cross country event.
The under 11s age group runners, including a number from Warrington Athletics Club, navigated almost the same course as the under 13s were due to tackle which meant they ended up running about double the distance they should have in the third round of the Manchester Area Cross Country League.
Despite this, they all battled hard and completed the extended Tatton Park course.
