BEN Currie's new contract removes one player from the list of Warrington Wolves squad members in the final year of their deals.
However, several players including some established first-teamers are coming to the end of their deals as things stand.
It has been confirmed this evening that second rower Currie has signed a three-year extension to his contract to keep him at the club until November 2026
> The thoughts of Ben Currie and Daryl Powell on the England international's new contract
He joins Danny Walker, George Williams, Matty Ashton and Josh Thewlis in being tied to The Wire for another three seasons after this one.
The headline name among those whose futures beyond this year remain unconfirmed is hooker Daryl Clark.
Head coach Daryl Powell has been vocal about his desire to keep the 30-year-old beyond this year, but it is understood Clark is increasingly likely to move on and he has been heavily linked with a move to neighbours St Helens.
Peter Mata'utia, Greg Minikin and Matty Russell are also off-contract as is second rower Ellis Longstaff, who is spending the season on loan at Salford Red Devils.
Russell is among the players whose contracts are known to contain an option to extend by a further year in the club's favour.
