WARRIORS of Warrington Swimming Club displayed overwhelming dominance at the Cheshire Championships held over three weeks.
Swimmers of the club set four all-time county records and won 50 per cent of the individual age group category first-place awards to demonstrate the breadth and depth of talent within its ranks.
Head coach Darren Ashley said: “To dominate the points totals as we have done this year, shows the progression and development of the programme with the drive of all the swimmers involved.
"The parents who have moved the club on over the past 12 months should take the credit for such a vast improvement."
Warriors won the Wallace Trophy (senior and junior events aggregate) as well as the Hugh Laughland Trophy (16 and under age group aggregate).
Warriors secured 219 top-three finishes, including 78 gold medals.
Sophie Weston and Joe Ashley set county records while joining George Daintith, Logan Mulhall-Reid, Jasmine Bouaziz and Kerrie Hennie (Top Girl achiever) as senior and junior champions.
Numerous personal bests were achieved, too, over the course of the championships.
