THE organisers of this Rugby League World Cup have a lot to answer.
I have been to both games at The Halliwell Jones Stadium and it has been such a disappointment.
The atmosphere at the PNG game on Tuesday was better, but for the ground to be barely a third full is an embarrassment.
The main issue is the cost. £30 for the south stand? I do not pay anywhere near that to watch Warrington, while in the north stand some were £70.
Surely the tournament would have felt better with 15,000 people paying £15 each.
The organisers say they want to create a legacy, but this just looks appalling for the casual fan on TV.
