WOLVES moved up to third in Super League after clinching a 38-18 home win against Catalans Dragons on Sunday.
Wolves welcomed back Stuart Reardon and Paul Wood from long-term shoulder injuries but were still without Matt King because of a calf complaint.
Paul Cullen's men went ahead in the 11th minute as Lee Briers converted after putting Michael Monaghan through a huge gap for his first try in Wolves colours.
A Paul Rauhihi offload then allowed Jon Clarke to spin out a fine long pass to Louis Anderson, who found brother Vinnie for Wolves' second try.
But Catalans hit back after a quiet start with tries from their first two attacks to move 12-10 in front.
Jason Croker's offload allowed Clint Greenshields to score in the right-hand corner amid controversy about a possible Catalans knock-on earlier in the tackle count.
Thomas Bosc converted that try and again found the mark when Croker put Sebastien Raguin over, with Monaghan this time appealing that he had been pulled back as he scampered after a loose ball.
Croker was then sent to the sin bin for holding down Paul Johnson and Chris Hicks capitalised with a brilliant finish from dummy half to restore Wolves' lead just before half time.
Shortly after the interval Wolves lost substitute Wood with a dislocated shoulder, just six minutes into his return from his previous shoulder reconstruction.
But the hosts extended their lead when Jon Clarke was in support to finish off a break from Martin Gleeson and, after John Wilson had been sent to the sin bin for holding down Reardon, Johnson crossed from Louis Anderson's pass.
Catalans were then temporarily reduced to 11 men as a third player, Remi Casty, was banished to the sin bin - this time for holding down Kevin Penny.
Hicks added his second try of the game, superbly fending off Greenshields on the touchline to score from Martin Gleeson's pass.
Justin Murphy replied for the visitors with a try after Adam Mogg had exquisitely fooled the Wolves defence with a pass through his legs from dummy half close to the line.
But Monaghan offloaded out of the back of the hand as he was falling to the ground to put Mark Gleeson away in the dying seconds, allowing the supporting Andy Bracek to round off the scoring.
