Woolston Rovers 20 Leigh Central Lions 0.
WOOLSTON produced their best performance of the season but it was overshadowed by the death of club stalwart Brian Dutton in the week leading up to the game.
A minute's silence was held before an encounter that saw Woolston take the lead in the North West Counties Amateur Rugby League Division Five clash thanks to a try from Ste Lawley.
Bob McGregor then barged his way over with Paul Berry converting before scoring a try of his own.
John Welch crossed and Berry kicked a penalty after the interval to complete the scoring as Leigh Central had two players sent to the sin bin for dissent.
