LATCHFORD had to work hard for Saturday's North West Counties Amateur Rugby League Division One victory over Adlington after twice taking their foot off the gas.
Albion raced into a 24-4 half-time lead with tries from Andy Rowlinson, Gavin Bishop, John Williams and Iain Fowler as well as four conversions from Nick Owen.
Adlington clawed back 12 points but Latchford stepped up a gear and further tries from Fowler, Reardon, Rowlinson and Ben Fawcett put them into a commanding 44-16 lead.
Adlington added two converted tries and a penalty in a late rally but the game was already in the bag, with Gary Tees, Ste Worrall, Fowler and Williams standing out for Albion.
