WARRINGTON Wolves start their campaign in the newly named Reserve Team Championship away to Hull Kingston Rovers today, Saturday.

And it will be an important afternoon for Super League squadmen Paul Wood and Stuart Reardon, who are due to make their comebacks from serious shoulder injuries in the 3pm kick-off at Craven Park.

The match will mark the first competitive game in charge of Warrington Reserves for Richard Marshall, who joined the club in pre-season following Dave Elliott's departure to a role with the Rugby Football League.

Matty Blyth and the players who drop out of the 20 for the Super League game 24 hours later are expected to figure in Wolves' 17.

Warrington's reserves warmed up with a convincing 66-0 win at Cambridge University at the weekend.

Super League squad men Michael Cooper, Lee Mitchell, Matty Blythe and Chris Riley all featured in the success.
