WARRINGTON Athletics Club have a sackful of silverware after the final round of the Manchester Area Cross Country League at Wythenshawe Park on Saturday.
Following their success in the North of England Championships the previous weekend the under 13s boys team collected the league title by winning the Wythenshawe match.
The team were led home by Stephen Darbyshire, who was third on the day and overall.
Chris Smith, who was fourth overall, was seventh, while Henry Buttress, sixth overall, was eighth and Cameron Field, fifth overall, was ninth.
The under 15s girls team, having gone into the match in the lead in the league, finished second on the day and second overall to gain silver medals.
Rachael Jefferson, who took the overall bronze medal, had her first win in the league and was supported by Lizzie Heaven, seventh, and Vicky Hamilton, 12th.
Twins Katie and Megan Ashcroft finished 15th and 18th respectively.
Warrington's other team medals were earned by the under 15s boys, who, despite having none of the first five finishers from the Northern Championships in any matches, collected the bronze medals.
Matt Pontifex led the team finishing in 11th place with Mike Hilton 20th and Adam Jefferson 22nd supporting him, while Wayne Robinson finished in 25th place.

* Tony McCarthy and Mervyn Ward were Warrington Athletics Club's only representatives in the Northern Veterans Club Cross Country Championships at Victoria Park in Warrington on Sunday.
They finished in 16th and 19th places respectively with times of 39mins 28secs and 39mins 37secs.
* Warrington Athletic Club's Liam Thompson finished fourth in the Wombwell five-mile road race near Barnsley on Sunday.
He clocked 26mins 25secs on a hilly course, finishing only 25 seconds behind the winner and only 14 seconds outside his best time.
