Warrington Town 0 Alsager 1.
WARRINGTON Town had 90 per cent of the play but their efforts on goal were fruitless on Saturday.
Not for the first time this year a defensive slip-up cost Town a goal, with Chris Budrys scoring on the stroke of half time.
The visitors then pushed 10 men behind the ball.
Warrington, who hit the woodwork in each half, pressed forward in the second period but their play in the final third was poor.
Town: Shane McWeeney. Andrew Thomas, Chris Fitzsimmons, Thomas Spearritt, Ben Heath, Michael Grogan, Gavin Lynch, Karl Brown, Carl Rendell, Kevin Towey, Scott Williams. Substitutes: Connor Taylor, Steve Everett, Michael Owens.
