WOLVES are very hopeful' that Matt King will play at Hull Kingston Rovers on Sunday.
The Australian Test centre, who tore his calf in his first carry of the ball against St Helens on Friday, has spent the week with teammate Michael Monaghan speeding up the recovery of their injuries in a hyperbaric chamber.
Head coach Paul Cullen said: "We're very hopeful he'll come through this week and play.
"If not, we're certainly looking at a return against Catalans Dragons the following week.
"It's a short-term injury rather than a long-term one."
Cullen said Monaghan's hamstring injury is no worse for his efforts on Friday and he is confident Monaghan will figure at scrum half at Craven Park.
