HALF back Anthony Kelly was the toast of Priestley College after coolly slotting home a last-gasp drop goal to seal a rugby league cup final victory.
His extra-time strike against St Helens in the North West Cup Final saw Priestley crowned league and cup winners for the first time in their 25-year history.
The victory allows Priestley to progress to the national stages of the competition with a home clash to come against Wales at the Loushers Lane base on Wednesday at 2pm.
Priestley defeated Whitehaven and Oldham to qualify for the finals series at Halton Farnworth ARLFC.
The top four teams from the region were pitted against each other on the same day, with Priestley running out 6-4 winners against Carmel College in their semi final thanks to a try from Alex Thompson and a conversion from Kelly.
Jack Cooper and Nick Touhey ensured that the final with St Helens was level at 12-12 going into the interval.
St Helens took a six-point lead after the break but with just minutes remaining Jordan Hughes crossed and Kelly goaled from the touchline to leave the sides deadlocked.
The game headed into golden-point extra time with St Helens missing a 50m penalty attempt before Kelly became the hero of the hour.
