RYLANDS have reached the National Cup quarter finals after victory against East Hull. Adam Wood, Joseph Kenny, Jamie Hodgkiss and Liam Ryan touched down, while Matthew Dowman added two goals and a try.

SAM Hughes scored a hat-trick as Crosfields Cardinals overcame club rivals Cobras to reach the quarter finals of the North West Counties Cup. Matt Dickinson grabbed a brace for Cardinals, while Luke Lea, David Mee and Jamal Tahraoui crossed for Cobras.

BURTONWOOD were only narrowly beaten by Ince Rose Bridge despite being able to field just nine players. Tom Baines and Jordan Lees crossed, while Scott Turton was the player of the match. Jonathan Hurst was the top attacker, Ben Jeffery was the top defender and the coaches' award went to Adam Conway.
