NOT only is Matt King a cracking rugby league player, he also has a wicked sense of humour to go with a hair-do that commands attention!
He took part in a publicity stunt with Wolves teammate Jon Clarke this week to welcome new sponsor Vestas into the club's fold.
And the celebratory photo shoot involved King and Clarke jumping into a powerful high-tech wind machine - usually used to test aeroplane parts - to experience 45 mph of wind, the speed at which a Vestas machine produces full electrical power.
King, with his tongue in cheek, said: "I've been looking for a new hairdryer for a while now and that was a real blast but I still think I might need something a bit more powerful."
Vestas, a leading supplier of wind power solutions whose UK and Ireland operational base is in Warrington, are said to have signed a lucrative one-year deal with Wolves and their logo is to be emblazoned on the Wolves shirts.
Dave Hutchinson, Wolves' director of commercial development, said: "This deal demonstrates Vestas' commitment to the local community and club, and it's a great fit for the team.
John Childs, Vesta' director of sales, said: "We are delighted to have teamed up with the Warrington Wolves, they have a proud heritage and a highly professional, uncompromising approach to their game.
"At 125 metres tall a V90-3MW turbine produces the same amount of electricity as 7,582 barrels of oil, they are immensely powerful - just like the Wolves.
"We saw this as a great opportunity to give something back to the club and the local community."
