PAUL Cullen has revealed that Michael Monaghan's impressive Super League debut against Hull came despite the scrum half not training at 100 per cent for almost a month leading up to the game.
Wolves' head coach said: "The dead leg that Michael Monaghan got in the game against Wigan (January 13) and got again against Salford (January 27) knocked the edge off his preparations in the final month.
"He hadn't been running flat out because he'd been recovering from two dead legs on the same spot."
Cullen said new recruits Monaghan, Louis Anderson, Chris Hicks and Matt King all fitted in as well as could have been expected against Hull at this point in the campaign.
