AS weekends go, Grappenhall Cricket Club had a pretty good one with all three senior teams picking up convincing wins.
The firsts comfortably saw off Bramhall at Broad Lane, with Josh Hayes picking up three wickets as the bowlers dismissed their visitors for just 140. Lewis Porter, Nick Woods and Ian Hall picked up two wickets each.
Grappers chased down the total with 10 overs to spare for the loss of just two wickets, with Albert Pennington and Grant Hodnett hitting unbeaten half-centuries.
The seconds declared on a massive 278-8 at Timperley thanks in no small part to a superb century from opener Dan Adkins.
He hit 112, with Ross Arrowsmith providing key support with a knock of 72 before taking four wickets with the ball as the hosts were knocked over for just 178 in reply.
The thirds made it a full house on Sunday at home to Lindow, with skipper Dave Tully’s unbeaten 88 leading Grappers’ recovery from 23-4 to a competitive total of 163.
In reply, Lindow fell short of their target thanks to four wickets from leg-spinner Fameesh Azeez and three from Tom Ellis.
