OLIVER Holmes has allayed concerns about the neck injury that brought an early end to his time at Castleford Tigers.
The second rower has joined Warrington Wolves on a three-year deal, following head coach Daryl Powell to The Halliwell Jones Stadium from the Mend-A-Hose Jungle.
However, he was found to have a bulging disc in his neck due to the whiplash effect of a tackle during a match against Hull KR in September.
At the time, he was advised to rest before undergoing further scans but Holmes insists the problem is behind him and that he has been able to take a full part in pre-season.
“That’s all cleared up,” he said of the injury.
“I got the okay on the surgeon on that not too long ago. You never want to have to have neck surgery but thankfully I didn’t need it.
“It was the kind of injury that is just part and parcel of the game. Sometimes you have these little setbacks but this one hasn’t been too bad.
“I was still able to get myself fit before getting the all-clear and coming in for pre-season so I’ll be raring to go.”
