WARRINGTON Wolves are likely to need a new training base from the end of this year.
The University of Chester have announced plans to close their Padgate campus – where The Wire are currently based – and move their operation into Warrington town centre by September of next year.
The Guardian understands the current campus, which also includes student accommodation, is likely to become housing and the university says Wolves are being "kept appraised" of developments.

It is understood that the club will remain at the Crab Lane site for this year, but it is understood efforts to find a new base for 2022 and beyond are already underway.
Wolves moved into Padgate in 2008 and have been based their ever since, with state-of-the-art facilities being developed over time including an indoor training barn which was completed in 2015.
