FORMER Warrington Wolves scrum half Tyrone Roberts is without a club for next season.
He has been released by NRL club Gold Coast Titans, where ex-St Helens coach Justin Holbrook is in charge.
Roberts spent a season with Wolves in 2018, gaining appearances in defeated Challenge Cup Final and Grand Final campaigns.
The Wire never saw the best of him though, after he arrived at the club with an injury.
He and his family decided to head home to Australia a year into his contract and he returned to the Titans, where he had previously been skipper.
Blake Austin was the man Steve Price looked to instead.
Playmaker Roberts lined up for Gold Coast 59 times over four seasons after making his debut in 2016 following five seasons spent at Newcastle Knights.
Injury hampered him in 2020 and his future in the game remains unclear for a player who has also made representative appearances for the Indigenous All-Stars and NSW Country during his career.
