WARRINGTON Wolves will go into Friday night’s Super League clash with Wigan Warriors without at least one key player.
Second rower Ben Murdoch-Masila will miss the game at Headingley, with head coach Steve Price confirming the Tongan international had picked up a slight abductor strain.
As well as missing the clash with the Warriors, Murdoch-Masila also appears likely to be absent for the midweek meeting with Leeds Rhinos on October 13.
"Benny Murds won’t play," Price said in his pre-match press conference earlier today.
"He’s picked up a slight abductor strain – it’s not too serious but he won’t be available for Friday.
"Other than that, I’m confident we’re all ready to go."
When asked whether the injury would rule Murdoch-Masila out of the Leeds game, Price said: "If I was a betting man, I’d say so.
"The big man is a pretty good healer, though. He’ll be doing everything he can."
