PLENTY of Cheer was raised at the weekend – and plenty of trophies too.

Warrington Cheer Storm came away from Incredibly Cool Event's Northern Frostbite competition in Chester with seven first places and two seconds.

Club chiefs rate the achievements at the Northgate Arena 'amazing' and will be looking to build on the successes as 2020 progresses.

The weekend started with the cheerleading club, based at Penketh High School, celebrating second place being earned by junior level one team, Cyclones, on Saturday.

And then on Sunday the club's stunt teams took centre stage, with the mini level nought team Monsoons not only taking first place but being crowned Grand Champions too.
