WARRINGTON Wolves are believed to be keen on signing Sydney Roosters prop Zane Tetevano.
The Guardian understands The Wire are competing with two other clubs – one from Super League and the other from Australia – to recruit the 28-year-old from the reigning NRL Premiers.
Wolves are known to be looking for at least one front-row forward for next season and Tetevano has the kind of experience and pedigree their are looking for.
A Cook Islands representative, Tetevano has earned a call-up to the New Zealand squad for the Downer World Cup Nines and their autumn Tests – two of which are against Great Britain.
Tetevano made 24 appearances for the Roosters this year and was named in the team for the NRL Grand Final against Canberra Raiders, but was dropped in favour of Jake Friend.
He did play in last year's Grand Final victory over Melbourne Storm and helped the Roosters beat Wigan Warriors in the World Club Challenge earlier this year.
