THE Wire's wretched Super League continued in their final game before next week's Challenge Cup Final.

A dismal first-half display proved costly as they went down 20-6 to neighbours Wigan Warriors at the DW Stadium as they conceded three tries in nine minutes.

Tom Lineham got their sole reply in the closing stages and perhaps more worryingly for Steve Price, both Bryson Goodwin and Stefan Ratchford were forced off injured just eight days from their Wembley clash with St Helens.
