LUTHER Burrell will make his Warrington Wolves debut against London Broncos on Saturday, head coach Steve Price has confirmed.
England rugby union international Burrell has been training with his new Wire teammates for a number of weeks and was included in the 19-man squad for Friday’s defeat to St Helens without making the final 17.
However, while he did not say whether or not he would start, Price confirmed Burrell will make his senior rugby league debut at Ealing Trailfinders.
“Luther will be ready,” he said.
“He’s done a lot of volume training now and work on understanding our systems with (assistant coaches) Andrew Henderson and Lee Briers.
“He’s ticking along nicely and he’ll come into our 17 this week.”
The Wire will be without Ben Murdoch-Masila, who underwent ankle surgery yesterday and is set for an absence of two to three weeks while skipper Chris Hill starts a two-match suspension.
