LUTHER Burrell is in contention to make his Warrington Wolves debut against St Helens on Friday night.
The rugby union convert has been training with his new teammates for a number of weeks following his switch from Northampton Saints.
It was thought he was unavailable to play until July 1 at the earliest, but head coach Steve Price refused to rule him out of Friday’s crunch top-of-the-table clash.
“He’s in the mix of our 21. He’s doing some really good things in training,” Price said of the England international.
“We’ve got another training session on Thursday and we’ll make a decision after that.
“For him, it’s about understanding the people around him and he’s doing a really good job of that.”
Price confirmed there were no new injury concerns in his squad, with winger Tom Lineham available again after completing a three-match suspension.
