PROMISING Widnes Vikings centre Keanan Brand is “on the radar” as a target for Warrington Wolves.
The Guardian has been told that, while no deal has been done yet, the club are keen on the 20-year-old.
England Academy international Brand is under contract with the Vikings for next year but it is believed The Wire are working on a deal to bring him to The Halliwell Jones Stadium.
With Bryson Goodwin and Ryan Atkins both out of contract at the end of the season, Wolves have prioritised recruiting in the centres for next season, with Brand’s Vikings teammate Anthony Gelling also widely rumoured to be a target.
Meanwhile, The Wire are unlikely to bring in any mid-season recruits before this season’s transfer deadline.
Clubs have until August 9 to register players for the remainder of the campaign but any new signings will now be for the 2020 campaign.
