RYLANDS Football Club will take a big step on Friday when they host their first ever floodlit game.
Gorsey Lane’s new floodlights will be on when Blues host Congleton Town in a friendly match, with the game kicking off at 7.45pm.
Entry costs £3 for adults and £2 for concessions, while under 16s can watch the game for free with a paying adult.
On the field, Blues are currently seven points clear at the North West Counties First Division South and look on course to mark their maiden season at this level with promotion.
It looked as if they would stretch that lead to 10 points on Saturday when player/co-manager Stuart Wellstead gave them an early lead at second-place Wythenshawe Amateurs, but the hosts equalised with the last kick of the game to rescue a 1-1 draw.
