HARVEY Livett will miss Friday’s trip to Castleford Tigers, Wire head coach Steve Price has confirmed.
The second rower limped out of last week’s 56-6 win over Catalans Dragons with a knee injury and while he re-emerged from the treatment room to do sprints down the touchline, he did not return to the action.
Price insists Livett’s absence is merely “precautionary” and that he should be fit for the Challenge Cup Final at Wembley in 11 days’ time.
He also confirmed there were no other new injuries in the squad ahead of Friday’s visit to the Mend-A-Hose Jungle
“Harvey’s okay. He’s in good spirits,” he said.
“He won’t play this week but he’s doing all his rehab and he’s in a good head space.
“It was just a bit of a bang on his knee, so it’s more precautionary. We’re all in pretty good shape.
“Ryan Atkins was out running again today. He also won’t play this weekend, but we’re all fit and healthy.”
