BODENE Thompson will make his Warrington Wolves debut against Catalans Dragons on Friday, head coach Steve Price has confirmed.
The second rower, who joined from Leigh Centurions on July 25, will play but it is not yet clear whether he will start or come off the bench at The Halliwell Jones Stadium.
Price also says there are no new injuries resulting from Sunday’s Challenge Cup semi-final win over Leeds Rhinos.
“Bodene will make his debut for our club on Friday,” he said.
“He’s an exciting player, he’s brought a lot of energy to the group and he’s picked things up really quickly.
“Whether it’s starting or off the bench, I’ll make that decision later in the week.
“In terms of injuries and niggles, we’re in pretty good shape.”
Sitaleki Akauola is also set to come back into contention for Friday’s opening Super 8s game after he missed Sunday’s match through illness. He trained with the rest of his teammates today.
Price will name his 19-man squad for the game tomorrow and says he aims to make “as few changes as possible” to his team.
