WARRINGTON Wildfire under 12s netball team won a tournament in dramatic circumstances at the weekend.
A wonder pass from captain Jemima Dahou to Olivia Wormald allowed the winning goal to be scored in the nailbiting final of the Gala Tournament organised by Leyland Sports Trust.
Wildfire, Warrington Town Netball Club’s elite under 12s side, edged home 8-7 against Tameside in the decider thanks to Wormald’s show-stealing goal.
For the Wildfire girls it was revenge for their only defeat in seven pool games.
They finished second in the table before ending the hopes of Rochdale Blacks 12-4 in the semi finals.
Squad: Olivia Wormald, Holly Hitchmough, Ellie Johnson, Izzy Flynn, Grace Wilson, Francesca Miller, Katie Gough, Jemima Dahou and Arabella Dahou.
