MATT Davis says he is keen to test himself in a Super League environment after his move to The Wire was confirmed.
The talented second rower will move to Warrington from Championship side London Broncos on a two-year deal ahead of next season.
Wire sign Davis from London Broncos
Davis, who was coached by Henderson at the Broncos for two years, says he was impressed by the vision Warrington have as a club after conversations with Henderson and head coach Steve Price.
He also had kind words for his coaches at the Broncos, with whom he progressed through the academy system having played amateur rugby league with Leicester Storm.
“I wanted to test myself in a different set up and a different environment,” he said.
“After talking to Steve Price and Andrew Henderson, Warrington really appealed to me.
“I had a good chat with Hendo about a few things and he and Steve Price have a really good vision at Warrington.
“Danny Ward (current London Broncos head coach) was great here for me when I played academy and Hendo gave me the chance to play first team.
“I want to thank Danny and Jamie Langley for their help in making me the player I am now.”
