Farsley Celtic 0 Warrington Town 2
YELLOWS ended their six-match winless run with an impressive victory at play-off rivals Farsley Celtic.
Will Hayhurst and Sean Williams scored in either half to give Paul Carden's side more breathing space after sides behind them - including today's opponents - closed the gap in recent weeks.
They lead third-placed Grantham, who have a game in hand, by four points with four games left to play.
Town took the lead midway through the first half when Hayhurst was allowed time on the ball and, with everyone expecting him to cross, he tried his luck and found the bottom corner.
Jack Higgins, scorer of two goals in Thursday's 2-2 draw at Whitby Town, had a glorious chance to double the lead shortly afterwards.
After Hayhurst's initial corner came back to him, he floated a cross which found Higgins unmarked, but the defender could only head wide.
Jamie McDonald then stung the fingertips of Celtic keeper Graeme McKibbin as Yellows settled for a one-goal lead at the break.
However, that advantage was doubled just eight minutes after the restart.
After some nice build-up play involving Gerard Kinsella and Shaun Beeley, the midfielder whipped an effort past McKibbin from outside the area.
Warrington Town: Pilling, Adam Carden, McKeown, Williams, Higgins, Goulding, Bakare (Leacock-McLeod), Beeley, McDonald (Piggott), Kinsella (Davis), Hayhurst. Subs not used: Jennings, McEveley.
