GRAHAM Sayer missed out on a fourth defence of his Amateur Kickboxing Association world middleweight title on Saturday but could return to action at Warrington's Parr Hall on September 15.
The Warrington Kickboxing Studio fighter had been expected to take on Indian opponent Rajeet Singh in Manchester at the weekend.
But, with the bout only arranged at short notice, the Indian team was granted its visa application too late to organise flights to England.
Sayer, who had been training hard for the contest, is hoping to challenge for a second world title - the International Kickboxing Federation belt - in September with a potential England versus Holland match on the cards.
Warrington clubmate Ryan O'Donnell did compete in Manchester, contesting the English welterweight title but losing on points to Newcastle's Mark Platts.
Robert Lightburn contested the English middleweight title against Darlington's Darren Langthorne, who last year took Sayer the distance.
The impressive Lightburn led his experienced opponent 36-33 after the first round but trailed 94-83 two rounds later and, although he made a final round comeback, he agonisingly lost 113-112.
O'Donnell, Lightburn and other Warrington kickboxers are expected to be in action at the Parr Hall.
