APPLETON Cricket Club's women's team cruised to a 10-wicket victory at home to Oakmere in the Twenty20 League.
Oakmere were restricted to 59 for 7 after an excellent all-round bowling performance from Appleton, for whom Annie Rashid took 2 for 10 and player of the match Nathalie Long grabbed 2 for 13.
Appleton then reached their target without loss and with two overs to spare, with Kim Challis and Long retiring on 17 and 15 respectively.
Appleton continue their 20-over and 40-over league campaigns this week as well as facing Neston in a cup semi final on Monday.
