ALAN Brady hit 99 not out as Grappenhall's second team moved into the semi finals of the Cheshire County Cricket League Second XI Cup on Sunday.
Grappenhall travelled to Sale in the quarter finals and the hosts were reduced to 13 for 3 thanks to good bowling from 16-year-old duo Sam Guest and Mike Taylor.
The hosts were eventually dismissed for 188 with Dave Seed taking four wickets. Brady then carried his bat with a brilliant 99 as Grappers reached the target with one over remaining to clinch a four-wicket win.
Grappenhall's first team, who have reached the semi finals of the league's Twenty20 Cup, host Tattenhall in Division Two on Saturday, while the second team travel to Bramhall and the third team visit Heaton Mersey Village.
