A LEOPARD may not change its spots but a Wolf from Warrington has changed its colours this week ahead of Sunday's Carnegie Challenge Cup semi final at The Halliwell Jones Stadium.
Wigan Warriors meet Catalans Dragons on Sunday for a place in the first final back at the new Wembley.
And, following a request from Catalans prop Jerome Guisset for supporters of his old club to turn out in force and support the Dragons, Wolfie the Warrington Wolves mascot has done just that.
For one game only, Wolfie will be swapping his beloved Warrington kit for a Catalans shirt as the French team aim to be the first side from outside of the UK to make a Carnegie Challenge Cup Final.
Warrington captain Lee Briers will also be supporting Catalans this weekend.
Briers said: "Wigan are the old enemy and the last thing we'd want them to do is reach the first final back at the new Wembley.
"That's why I'll be donning a Catalans shirt this Sunday and shouting for the Dragons.
"Wigan will bring loads of fans to the Halliwell Jones so I just hope a number of Warrington fans will turn out to cheer on the Catalans.
"So that the stadium isn't awash with cherry and white it would be great if they could come dressed in red, yellow and white."
Around 500 fans are expected to travel over from France to the Halliwell Jones stadium for this Sunday's semi-final, and the Catalans are planning to give out a number of flags and merchandise to Dragons supporting Wire fans.
Earlier this week the Carnegie Challenge Cup flew to France as part of a promotional trip to mark Catalans reaching the semi-finals. It was the first time the trophy had left the UK in its 110-year history.
Tickets, starting from just £5 for concessions and £17 for adults, are still available for this Sunday's game from the RFL Box Office on 0871 226 1313 or via www.rugbyleaguetickets.co.uk.
Alternatively, fans can also pay on the gate on the day for ground admission.
