EAGLE JFC coach Phil Eastham has received another award after being named Liverpool County FA grassroots coach of the year.
The Great Sankey resident, who was nominated for the Warrington Sports Personality Unsung Hero of 2006 award, mainly coaches Eagle Panthers under nines - soon to be the under 10s - and recently won the North West Regional Charter Standard coach of the year honour.
Phil said: "I have been entered in the national final.
"I can take my team with me and we will meet and be judged by Sir Geoff Hurst and Sir Trevor Brooking among others.
"This is a great honour for me and my team to represent our town and local FA at such a prestigious event."
Phil also does charity fund-raising and coaches in primary schools free of charge.
He helped Great Sankey Primary School achieve charter status and is currently doing the same at Penketh Primary School.
