LEE Briers certainly picked his time to score his first hat-trick in six years and pass the 2,000-point mark for Warrington Wolves.
Many of his wife's family - all lifelong Hull KR fans - will have had mixed feelings watching from the stands as Briers' masterclass pushed the Robins closer to the drop.
But Briers, facing Hull KR for the first time in his career, looked to be loving every second of it as he orchestrated a dominant Wolves performance.
The skipper has notched 75 points in just four games - including 28 on Sunday to take him to 2,017 points in Warrington colours.
But Briers - the third different hat-trick scorer in three weeks - was one of many to impress as a Wolves side without Paul Johnson, Vinnie Anderson and Michael Sullivan reached top gear.
They will face better sides before the end of the season, with the home side's performance suggesting they could yet follow Widnes and Castleford - the last two sides Wolves put 60 points past - into the National League.
Rovers coach Justin Morgan was certainly left to rue his baffling decision to leave out the fit-again Paul Cooke.
But, regardless of that, Wolves are now starting to produce on a consistent basis, remaining tight in defence and blitzing their opponents in attack with the expansive style of play they are now getting the chance to develop.
They barely needed to call upon the services of winger Kevin Penny on the way to a third straight win for the first time in 14 months, such was their ability to break from deep throughout the match.
An outstanding first 40 minutes from Adrian Morley included the Great Britain captain's first try for the club after he had charged down James Webster's kick. Both Gleeson brothers were also on form, with Martin producing some magic with a pass out of the back of the hand that put Stuart Reardon over.
Only around 500 Wolves fans made the trip but they relished redemption at the scene of last year's embarrassing Challenge Cup defeat.
Jon Clarke again showed good support play to grab two tries and said: "I thought it was a really professional performance. We were up by a long way at half time but we were pretty ruthless and kept banging on the points.
"It gets that Challenge Cup memory out of the back of your mind and out of the way."
