EUROPEAN Tour golfer Phil Archer secured a top 15 finish for the third tournament in succession at the Scottish Open at Loch Lomond on Sunday.
The Birchwood Golf Club professional had looked in contention for victory after lying in tied fourth position after rounds of 68, 68 and 69 on the first three days.
A high finish would also have given him a chance of securing the last spot at the Open Championship but a final round of 71 saw him slip to joint 13th.
Archer, who has moved up to 47th on the European Tour Order of Merit after his recent run of form, will return to action at the Players Championship of Europe in Germany next weekend.
