PAUL Cullen is confident that Wolves will have no problem gaining dispensation for Martin Gleeson to be removed from next year's overseas quota.
Gleeson could count on the quota under new RFL rules for next year, defining an overseas player as anyone who did not complete three full seasons with an English club before turning 21.
The Great Britain international is thought to have only had two-and-a-half seasons with Huddersfield before turning 21 after spending most of his teenage years growing up in Brisbane.
But Cullen thinks Wolves will have no difficulty overcoming the technicalities, saying: "The rules may change for next year but no-one could ever consider Martin to be an overseas player.
"He's born and bred in Wigan, schooled in Wigan, went out as a young teenager and played in Australia, then came back and played for his county and also his country.
"They are anomalies that possibly weren't thought of when the new rules were discussed, and won't and cannot be an issue for anyone."
