SIMON Moran has been thrilled with the progess of young winger Kevin Penny in recent weeks.

Penny has come from virtual anonymity in the under 21s to become one of Wolves' main strike threats since making his full debut at Leeds on June 1.

Moran said: "Adrian Morley did really well at Huddersfield and it was good to see Kevin Penny scoring again, that's six in five.

"I've been monitoring him for three years and it's great that he's showing that he's got a lot of potential."

Former Academy teammate Ben Harrison is another person delighted to see Penny flourishing in the first team.

"I've played with Kev since the age of 16 and always knew what he was capable of," he said.

"It was just a matter of him getting his chance and I'm really pleased for him."
